Erica Dorn and Colette gallery Tote 2

“We love Paris” – is this just another travel statement or is it something more?

This tote-bag design featuring bold zippers and orange buttons was made by artist Erica Dorn with Colette and Chapel of Dawn for the opening of the show at Colette gallery. If you look closely, the positioning of the elements is not random, as you can easily see the buttons as eyes and the zipper as a mouth, used to illustrate different expressions, like dislike or lack of satisfaction in these cases. They also appear on the exhibition poster made for artist Eric Elms (whose name also appears in the tote design).

Usually characterized by aggressive impact and strong message, graphic artist Erica Dorn makes something friendlier by using the optimistic tones of red and orange in this design.
