Forestbound was started by Alice Saunders in 2007 and is a small operation based out of Fringe Union in Somerville, Massachusetts. The tote bags by Forestbound are all made in house in their studio from the designing, cutting, sewing, shipping .. it all takes place under one roof at their studio

Forestbound use found and salvaged textiles to create thier unique line of tote bags and carryalls, Forestbound Originals. By repurposing the old material it’s a way of bringing a piece of history back into the spotlight with every new item they create.

You can see by the attention to detail many hours are spent scouring for the storied textiles that are used for the bags. And many more hours are dedicated to thoughtfully and carefully reworking these materials into something new you can use every single day.
